Ysolde is a name of Welsh origin and a variant form of Isolde, a name from the medieval name Iseulte.

Ysolde is derived from the Brythonic “adsiltia” (“she who is gazed upon”) and from the Old High German words “īs” (“ice”) and “hiltja” (“battle”).

Ysolde was our first Coo.  The girl that started it all.  The lady that made us passionate about Highland cows.  On November 25th 2024 our girl left too early for her forever pasture, after falling ill out of the blue.  Ysolde will always remain a part of our fold.  Ysolde is Heilan Coo.
