Aileen is a Scottish and Irish form of Eileen, which derived from the Scottish name Eilidh and the Irish name Eibhlìn.

Aileen is the first calf of Eilidh.  The name means “bright shining light”, which is the same meaning of Eilidh, the name of her mother.
